MATTHEW BARBER (Playwright) was born in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA.  His stage play Enchanted April premiered at Connecticut’s Hartford Stage in 2000, and on Broadway in 2003, earning the John Gassner Award for Outstanding New American Play and Drama League and Tony Award nominations for Best Play. Enchanted April continues to enjoy award-winning productions throughout the world.  Matthew currently lives in New York City and has several film and theater projects in development.  His stage play Fireflies will receive its world premiere at Connecticut’s Long Wharf Theatre in October 2017.  Link: Doollee

ELIZABETH VON ARNIM (Author) was born Mary Annette Beauchamp in 1866 Australia, becoming Countess von Arnim through marriage and “Elizabeth” through her pseudonym used to write twenty popular novels, including the sensational best-selling “journal” Elizabeth and Her German Garden (1898), The Benefactress (1901), The Pastor’s Wife (1914), The Enchanted April (1922), and Mr. Skeffington (1940).
